The Fiestas Patronales of Holyoke is proud to announce the celebration of our 5th Anniversary. 2026 is shaping up to be the largest and only four-day Puerto Rican Festival in Massachusetts! The event will start on Thursday July 30th – Sunday August 2nd.
This year the Fiestas Patronales of Holyoke will be honoring the town of Naranjito Puerto Rico. Naranjito one of the island’s most iconic volleyball towns. The sport of Volleyball was introduced in 1915 by two American teachers and Reverend Howard T. Jason help spread the sport by organizing games and tournaments. Further highlighting the deep roots the City of Holyoke has with our brothers on the Island of Puerto Rico.
This year we are honoring Naranjito, Puerto Rico. Naranjito was founded on December 3rd,1824. Its name is derived from a small sour orange tree that served as a reference point for travelers. The town was founded on donated land from Doña Manuela Rivera and Don Braulio Morales, who became the first Mayor of the township.














Participants will be judged on posture, beauty, charisma, performance, and communication skills, as well as kindness toward fellow candidates. The competition will include evening dress and casual/favorite theme-based attire, with no advantage given for extravagant outfits.
Winners will represent Fiestas Patronales de Holyoke throughout the festival and beyond, attending all related activities, including the pageant, coronation, and the full four-day celebration. The crowned queen will also return for the 2026 coronation ceremony. In the event a winner cannot fulfill her duties, the title will be passed to the first finalist.

Holyoke now has the honor of hosting one of two Puerto Rican Cultural Districts in the United States. This designation has come from many years of hard work from the organization as well as countless collaborations with organizations from Holyoke and around the state.

Full Payment Required - 4 Day Event Exhibition/Information of your organization or company (NO SALES). Flat rate of $400 applies for 1–4 days.
