RENTING EL MERCADO

When it comes to your event, the possibilities are endless at our event hall in “El Mercado” (The Market) at 413 Main Street, Holyoke, MA. Our 1,675 square feet of rentable space is a perfect location for your birthday party, workshop, dance class, or community fundraiser. The open floor plan, beautifully restored flooring and brick walls provide a versatile, warm atmosphere for your event.

TEMPORARY PANDEMIC PRICING​

What is included in my rental of the hall?
  • The hall itself (Decorating time begins 5 hours prior to start time of the event). **
  • Up to 12 round tables
  • 6 rectangular tables
  • up to 100 black event chairs
  • Fridge available
  • Heating & Cooling
  • Portable Bar available (Empty)

*Event hall does not include table decorations, linens or center pieces.

**Additional charges will apply for additional decorating time. $100.00 for anything prior to the 5-hour decorating time, and $250.00 for the day prior decorating (if the hall is not rented).

Food/Liquor Policy?

The event hall is a private facility as such you can bring your own food, non-alcoholic beverages from outside, (there is NO Commercial Kitchen available at the moment.)

What time can I get in to decorate?
  • 5 Hours Before Start of Event Time
  • $50 Additional Charge for 5 hours additional decoration time (Temporary Pandemic Pricing)

PANDEMIC RULES AND REGULATIONS

El Mercado Hall will be following the state regulations and we will only be allowing parties with 25 people or less. If for any reason the client violates this requirement Nueva Esperanza has the right to keep your deposit. COVID-19 discount prices will be in effect until Massachusetts Lawmakers decide to move forward to Phase 4 in which Mercado Prices will go back to normal price for parties bigger than 25 people.

Client must agree to the following:

  1. I understand that Nueva Esperanza, Inc. cannot guarantee that no exposure to Covid-19 will occur during the use of the Mercado, and I therefore agree to adhere to the necessary safety precautions below, and ensure that my guests also adhere to them, in order to reduce the risk of exposure.
  2. Each operator of an indoor event must monitor attendee entries and exits and limit occupancy at all times to no more than twenty-five (25) people.
  3. The size of a party seated at a table cannot exceed 6 people.
  4. Tables must be positioned to maintain at least a 6 foot distance from all other tables and any high foot traffic areas.
  5. Guests should not gather in groups of more than 6 people.
  6. All guests must wear a surgical mask or face-covering at all times, except masks may be removed when eating or drinking.
  7. You must ensure access to alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.
  8. If there is a buffet, it cannot be self-serve.  Food must be served cafeteria-style.  This means there must be a person at the buffet wearing a mask who scoops the food onto the guests’ plates.  Only exception is for self-contained boxes or packages of food.
  9. You must return the hall in the same condition it was given to you.

Masks are a requirement for entry into the establishment. If you or your guests are not wearing face masks when you come to pick up the keys, you will not be given the keys to the Mercado.

Failure to follow these state safety guidelines will result in losing my deposit.

El Mercado Hall COVID-19 Discount Price will be in effect during the State of Massachusetts Phase 3 in which we are regulated to allow parties of 25 people or less. In the case that Massachusetts moves forward to Phase 4 while under a COVID-19 contract with Nueva Esperanza Inc., you will be asked to submit a new contract with our regular price. If you refuse to submit a new contract under the regular price you will be required to follow the 25 people or less in your party as the COVID-19contract states. If for any reason the client violates 25 people or less regulation per contract, Nueva Esperanza Inc. will have the right to keep your deposit.

I am ready to rent the hall what do I do next?

To reserve Nueva Esperanza’s Event Hall all you would need to do is stop by Nueva Esperanza, 401 Main Street, Holyoke, MA 01040 fill out a rental contract, and place the $100 refundable deposit. These two items will guarantee your rental of the hall for that day. Payment is due on or before the date of the event.
