Holyoke Community Toy Drive & 19th Annual Three Kings Day Event!

Dear Friend and Community Member,

We again enter into our second holiday season together, we know that Thanksgiving for a lot of our families is a difficult time, we are and will be providing close to 75+ families in need with Thanksgiving meals through a fun festive event.

We (Holyoke) are preparing and hosting a City Wide Toy Drive, in order to make the Latinx Holiday Tradition of 3 Kings Day a HUGE Event for kids and need in the City of Holyoke.

Nueva Esperanza along with a bunch of other amazing organizations (Holyoke Community Charter School, Mount Tom Lodge AF&AM, the South Holyoke Neighborhood Association, and the Holyoke Public Schools.) Are collecting for families in need in the schools this includes some students who recently came from Puerto Rico who are still there.

The Holyoke School Department has identified 533 youth that meet these criteria, and our goal is to collect over 1000 gifts/gift cards/toys, in order to provide two wrapped gifts for each youth. We are placing a great emphasis on gifts that the entire family can enjoy, including movie passes, bowling passes, skating passes etc. Traditional gifts and toys are of course welcome.

Last year we were able to deliver gifts to all 500 youth who were enrolled into our program. Nueva Esperanza in the beginning of January will host our 19th Annual 3 Kings Day Celebration (Invite Only for these families) The event will included music, food, family fun and a visit from the 3 Kings and will distribute all of these gifts/toys to families at that time.

If you can find it in your heart to give, give! Our donation center is back open and we want to fill it to the rafters like we did last year, the more toys gifts we collect the better we will continue to spread the love and ensure these gifts get out there to youth in need including those who have come over from Puerto Rico.
